Is there any problems pointing the lift pins in , instead of out on this 3ph for my landscape rake?

I don't think it is a problem for this implement, however I think you find that the arms will tend to migrate inward against your pins. If you were to loose a pin, you might drop an arm which could be a problem(bend some stuff).

On the outside, because of the arm angles, as you pull the implement, the arm normally pulls inward against the implement.

Not that I've seen.. it makes hooking up easier on some pieces of equipment that have a wide 3pt attachment base.

Pointing in is ok. If you are woried about loosing the flip-bail style lynch pins, install a straight pin with a hole for a hairpin. then add a keychain ring. My NH dealer sent my tractor with all pins like that. Says he's never had a report of a snatched out pin. And yes.. the lynch pins can get snatched out in brush..

I have lost a few lynch pins to branches but I find that they have all been on impliments where they pointed out. Never on ones where they point in, and like you say, they can be a lot easier to hook up that way. I use my back blade more for pushing backwards in the snow than pulling and I notice that the arms do tend to spread out and push against the pins but I hasn't given me a problem as long as the pins are full size. I turned my pins to the inside on my bush hog. I kept losing the lynch pins to the brush. As my sway tightening chains are on the outside of my lift links they keep the links spread. By doing it this way even if a pin is lost the mower will not be disconnected.
