3PH Trash Can Holder

If you have cans with a crossbar, a version of this would work, but simpler with a 3tp hitch.

Trash Can Carrier - Garbage Can Transporter

Bruce

That thing is awesome. It's perfect for my Gator's hitch! I wouldn't want to leave that on the hitch on my truck or wife's SUV - or have to put it on / take it off every time I take the trash down the driveway to the county road.

Definitely buying one of these!

This is the one I built. Really simple. It is in the "stored" position in a couple 2" vertical reciever sections right now, but all it is is some old 2" tubing that looks like this: trash holder.JPG

In the "to use" position, I slide it into the hitch mount using the stub that is pointing towards the tractor in the stored position.
All I have to do is back up to my trash can and lift the 3ph. The extent of my laziness knows no bounds...

This is using a hook in my receiver that I got from Harbor Freight.

Got the pics uploaded but wanted to add a few comments. This works great to take the trash to end of drive way with front loader top lip hooked under U-Bolts mounted to top of carry-all. However I would not trust it to over a few 100lbs of weight. Design is good but may want something more substantial than u-bolts for real weight capacity. I like that I have FEL and 3PH hook up options. I plan on adding a larger box so I can get more than 1 trash can in it at a time.

All great ideas.

I also see some good reasons I "need" a welder.

Here are some better pictures of this in action. I'm sure that even without a welder, something could be bolted together pretty easily.

Yeah but I need another excuse to buy a welder.

Made my first run last night with it in the loader. My rigging needs some work. All was fine until I raised it to dump then one strap came loose. Fortunately I put a backup strap on just in case otherwise I'd been cleaning up a big mess in the dark.

Yeah don't tell us you don't need a welder! I am on a sustained quest to convince the wife that this is the tool I really need. I only wish she had a very short memory.

Get her a welder for her birthday or anniversary:laughing:
