In response to the fuel consumption notes above, engine rpm's do not tell the entire story. Fuel consumption is based mainly on engine load. The actual engine rpm is a minor factor in fuel use.
You can run your Kubota at 3000 rpms for an hour with no load and it will not go through all that much fuel. Run it at 3000 rpms with a heavy load and it will consume many times more fuel.
