3-Point Hitch 3Pt Hitch Heigth Adjust

I have a 2007 DK35 and have the same problem with the 3PH. This is my first real tractor (unless you count an old Farmall Cub) so I don't have much experience. I have the adjustment valve below the seat and two levers on the right of the seat. I have read the manual several times and still don't get it! I was using the tiller this past week and it was either up or down. Sometimes I could get it in the middle but never consistantly. For the tiller it really doesn't matter but for some other stuff it is important so if anybody can help it would be appreciated.

Reggie: I am gonna guess this is not a common problem, not too much in the way of responses to the post, Which is good thing!!! I am going to try to get to the dealer in a week or so to see what light their mechanic can shed on this problem. I'll try to post back whatever I learn....

Thanks. I would appreciate the help. The local dealer where I bought the tractor has been no help and his mechanic is awful.

I am a kioti dealer (Arkansas), and although we have not had this problem in our shop yet, my response is general in nature based on other tractors I have worked on. In simple terms, the position control works when moving the handle in the desired direction which rotates a cam off of a valve. This starts the motion of the lift arms which in turn moves the cam until the valve is closed again. So the further distance you move your handle, the further the lift arms move. It sounds like you can initiate the motion, but eh valve does not close until end of travel. you will have to look inside the lift assy under the seat to see what is out of position or broken. The draft control lever allows load sensing of the top link to make adjustments to the cam so for example, if a plow digs down to far, the load increases, teh top link kicks in toward the tractor and the tractor lifts the plow a little automatically.

Thanks for the response bluechip. So if I get this the draft control for lowering and raising a rototiller should not come into play. The lift lever should do what I want by putting it in the middle position. Just like the hydraulics on my '54 Farmall Cub. Put the lever half way and the hitch comes up half way more or less. Some of the problems I have had with this tractor are things not being tightened - - all of the accessories & hydraulic hoses - - - and things being stuck like the four wheel drive lever -- stuck tight! So this could be more of the same just in a different place. For a new tractor with about 30 hours and stored inside I have had to do a lot of work and fixing! I will pull out the service manual and take a look.
