I have not had a chance to check this out much as it happend late yesterday while I was doing some back-filling with my loader and box scraper on my B2910. All of a sudden my normally quick acting 3 pt lift...with the box scraper...started moving very slowly (up was slow, down was normal.) I would move the position lever all the way back and the implement would start to creep. Took about 5 seconds or so to reach max height. I have had the tractor for several months and this is the first time this has occurred. It was still acting up when I put it to bed. I'll check it out tonight, along with the manual, but thought I would throw this one out to see if anyone has already solved.

Check that your lift adjustment speed control somehow didn't get changed??

Doesn't sound right. Does the loader work OK? If so then the pump is fine and fluid is flowing.

I believe the speed adjustment only adjusts the lowering speed, not the lift speed.

Bill, the first thing I'd check is the FEL control; wiggle the joystick a bit to see that it's centered (valve entirely closed) so that all the oil flow goes on back to the 3-point hitch.

Thanks for the replies. Didn't get home in time to do more checking. The open or slightly open fel valve sounds like a good thing to check. And to hayden, I do think you are correct about only being able to adjust down speed. I checked my owners manual. There was an interesting statement about how to remove air from the hydraulic system if, after long storage or oil changes, the 3pt arms would not lift correctly. Says to move the tires to extreemes and back to purge air. While I was backfilling I was going to some pretty severe nose-down positions. Would this possibly introduce air if I was also working the loader? If it wasn't so cold, dark, and rainy I would go out and experiment. Thanks guys. I'll report on what I can discover.

Bird,
Another mystery: You picture signature is not showing up on my machine. I know I have seen it, with the eagle, but maybe it was at work on my pc there. I wonder what gives? Maybe I got air in my computer lines as well.

Yep, Bill, I've lost it; maybe I'll find it again later./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

on the right side of your tractor the hoses that go to your fel valve under the floor board ,there is a valve where the hydraulics origanate ,and there is a screw .some times a stick will hit this screw and misposition it a little bit and this can cause the same problem....

Thanks. I'll check that out along with the adjusting screw under the floorboard. Just have not had the time lately as I am trying to get my electrical service in the pole barn squared away. I'll report on my progress in addressing this issue. Also...welcome as a new member!
