3pt question on my 1705

thanks fellas for the replies. I will be putting the unit together this weekend with some help from the neighbor. Should be fairly easy.

Try this and let me know. I know you can keep the mower deck from moving. You can ru. Both ptos at the same time. Set the three point hitch where you want it. Down between your legs is a control valve. Close it to turtle and see if your deck still drops using the three point hitch lever. Make sure to not have your mower height set so it wont drop. You set it where you want lock it and your mower deck should drop because its not locked. Only thing is if you pick it up its gonna raise both i think.

The knob you are referring to controls the rate of drop. It does nothing to separate the movement of the MMM and 3pt hitch. There is also a height adjustment knob, which sets a stop point for the MMM, and allows the 3pt hitch to continue to drop, which is just the opposite of what the OP wants.

That is so funny, I have that exact Bagger off a SC2400 that I modified for my 2610, I just set MMM at the height I wanted and lifted the arms up has high as I could go before it lifted the MM, not a perfect because I don't have adjustment but it works for what I need. Never saw that video.
