3PT squeals on partial raising

If you want to monitor the complete hyd system, install the gage or a QD coupler at the IN port of the FEL valve in a tee. Then any hyd being operated will reflect the pressure used, on the gage.

Baby Grand, if your relief valve is kicking in when raising the 3PT without a load, that does sound like something is wrong. Here's a question: if you loosen the dial that controls the 3PT lowering speed does that help? If so, maybe the 1-way check valve that runs parallel to the dial valve is stuck and the raise flow is being forced past the dial valve.

Thanks, MoreCowbell, I'll check and see if I have a lift speed control.

J_J,
The lines that run from the HST to the FEL valve are all rigid pipe. I don't think it would be easy to tee into that without bending the tubing.

Instead of that, I'm thinking that I can rig up a bypass hose that I can use to connect between the two quick connects for the FEL lift cylinders, then tee into that. To do the pressure test I would just need to hold the FEL joystick down or up. Does that make sense to you?

Thanks again for your help.

By plugging into the FEL QD, you only test the FEL relief.

If you install a QD in the IN port of the FEL in a tee, you test the tractor hyd circuit. Any valve that is activated.

Basically, there are two types of 3P hydraulic systems of a tractor.
One of them is a type which the height of 3P can be controlled by the position of the control lever.
It is called "feed back type"or "position control type" and the valve is linked by a feedback rod from 3P.
Almost "common" tractor has such system.
On the other hand, there is a more simple system.
It does not have feed-back system, the valve has only three positions. up, down and neutral.
Most of sub-compact tractor has such system except of very few model.
I think it is normal that such a sound occurs when a lever is operated between neutral and a raising in order to raise 3P slowly ,since the valve of such a type does not have a "inching" zone.
Most valves for FEL have an inching function.
Even if its appearance is only an simple 3 position type.
I am not sure about BX2350's detail. For your information....
Thanks!
