Rob:
Did you change the way you link your thumbnails ?
It is now opening a web page for photobucket instead of just the image!
I have been meaning to ask you how you generate your thumbnails side by side.
Mine always come out on top of each other...

Oops, we have grass now.
Looks like choosing to seed was a good idea after all. I guess I'll have to get a lawn mower now.
A ride on mower would be nice. Any suggestions?

Rob, we have had very good luck with Sears garden tractors, not lawn tractors but garden tractors. You should be able to find a good used one for about $500-$750. I think that 42", 48", and 54" mowers were available. There was one on Craigslist a little while ago that had a 48" mower, electric operated 3ph with a rear blade and a plow. I told Mark that I should have bought it just for the plow. :D I will keep an eye out for one for you. ;)

Rob I use shot gun shot bags filled with sand in a plastic bag or jean pants legs sewed shut with a plastic bag in them too.

get play sand at H.D. inside the store it will be dry to fill them

tom
Great suggestion Tom, I hadn't thought of using jeans nor the plastic bag inside.
I've got a big pile of sand here so I can use that ... it should be good enough.

I haven't changed my Photobucket settings. Maybe it's a change they made?
I know they've had some upgrades in the recent past so I really don't know.
The way to get your thumbnails side by side is like this.
After you paste the URL's into the reply box, click behind the first one and press "delete". This brings the second URL right next to the first one. Then push the space bar to get a space in between them if you want. That's what I do so it doesn't look like one big thumbnail.
Try that.

Thanks Brian, much apprecited.
I hadn't thought of looking on Craig's list. I was in a Sears last week and saw their riding mowers. They looked pretty good. I didn't check to see if they were garden tractors though. Now that I have that grass, I'll pay more attention.
LOL ... It will make it easier on Loretta.:)

Regarding your snake problem, maybe if you contacted PETA or or a group like them you might be able to get some signs saying " NO SNAKES ALLOWED ". the signs might not work with the younger snakes depending on their reading ability.

Update on our getting settled in.
We had some spare time these last couple weeks. Loretta wanted some simple generic shelves in the basement put up. This the utility (electrical and water heater) room that had a lot of extra space. We use it to store our out door gear and Loretta wanted more shelves for when she does bulk shopping. About half of those shelves were made from scraps of lumber and planks left over. We only had to buy the fasteners and a few planks.

After doing that, I decided to get with it in the barn too.
There was so much crap on the floor and tables it was hard to find anything.

Putting up shelves helped to get at least one wall organized. I tried to purchase as little as I had to in order to make the light weight shelves, but yet decent enough to store the lighter items off the ground. I left room below to store the heavier items near the wall and I used all my old storage tables. After all, it is a barn.:) This side is sort of the tractor and implement area where I can do service or put some projects together. My welding corner has plywood behind it and I will eventually do the same for the walls behind my machinery. Man all that wood is expensive though!

Over the weekend, my second oldest boy, Matthew drove his Harley up to the ranch.
He drove up Saturday and back home on Sunday. He spent 5 hours with that double backpack on each way!! We spent the time he was there shooting the new .17HMR's and did some hunting around the property. He's a good kid.

I'm also working on making a firewood box to keep near the wood burning stove, but out on the covered deck.. I want to make it so we can load it up by the wood pile and lift it up to the main deck. I'll take some pictures when I'm done with it.
