wanting to add rear and front remotes to a 2004 JD 4410, Not sure how best to do it, but this info. has me looking at some different options.
Kubota doesn't have a 3rd function kit for the MX5100. I went with the W R long kit. Easy to install and works fine.

I look through this thread twice, did I miss it or did you pull the trigger yet, myself I'm still looking at the gun to see if I can afford the bullets. I didn't see the answer to the question ether, so right now my choice is the 3rd function setup from (Construction Attachments) because I like the looks of their control grip better, and the selling point for me is the 3 part step by step setup video on YouTube, on a Kubota tractor like mine L3400. I now have to find where these kits are sold so I can get a price.I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a 3rd function valve kit, I've looked at the kit from everything attachments 3rd function auxilliary hydraulic kits for all brands of tractors and loaders! purchase online, free shipping within 1,000 miles!! (made by W R Long) it looks like a good kit and sells for around $840 with a $50 coupon so total will be around $790. tonight i saw this kit from construction attachments, Construction Attachments Dedicated Third Function Hydraulic Valve Kit, Includes Hoses Can anybody tell me which is the better kit to buy. the kit from construction attachments is a fair amount cheaper but i wouldn't want to buy it if it is gonna be sub par. If there is another kit to look at please let me know. I know i could put one together myself cheaper but i really know nothing about hydraulics and i'm scared i would get in over my head, I can follow instructions good so if somebody could give me detailed instructions and a detailed parts list this would be the only way i would try to piece a kit together my self. thanks for any help or advice.

I did see one post about the 3rd function control kit from (Everything Attachments) with no YouTube videos on installment, but looked like a satisfied customer anyways. Not sure what everyone is using the control for, but for me I want to get a thumb grapple on my bucket, now back to looking for a good online $$ and who sells them.[/QUOT
Sorry I haven't been online lately but to answer your question I did pull the trigger. I bought the everything attachment 3rd function kit. Installation was not hard at all, customer service was great too. Other kits may be cheaper but this is a good option.
I went on Land Pride site, they show a dealer near me, UFE, it's where I bought my tractor. I'm bout due to skip down there for this that and the other thing, while I'm there I'll get a price on a 3rd function setup. But right now I'm liking that 3rd function setup from (Construction Attachments), they have installation YouTube videos on the same tractor I have with showing the same color tape on the hoses. Nothing about welding a threaded plate or something to something, just unbolt this and that, then add on that and this, then Wah-lah it's back together. So far I only found ONE place online that sells it, called (Idaho Implements), not sure what state it's in though. Nothing on Ebay around here that fits my L3400, and the 3rd. function that did show was $900.00, ouch.I just bought and installed a 3rd function valve kit on my MX from Land Pride. It was $685 complete plus tax. It is designed for Kubota tractors. There are specific kits for each series tractor and loader the kit for the MX 5100 and 4700 is 380-166A, the number for your 3400 will be the same alpha numeric type of nomenclature. If you Google your tractor and loader numbers you most likely will get a hit. Or you can call Land Pride and they will give you the number for you tractor and loader. Your local Kubota dealer can also help you. There are also a lot of them on Ebay. I liked the one from Land Pride as it was designed for my tractor a loader. It was about a 3 hour install project. I am waiting on a hangar for the hoses now. This is a Kubota part and wasn't offered until the MX5200 series. It will work just fine, but you will have to weld a threaded plate for it or drill and tap the loader arm. It cost $38. Just follow the instructions that are available from Land Pride they are clear and easy to understand.

(Everything Attachments) is my second choice, only because I here that their customer service is great, the best in the land I here, actually I didn't hear it, I read it. When you get some time, get a picture of the control handle, I want to see how it bolts on and get a look at the control buttons, and do have this for a FEL grapple?

As Gomer would say, surprise surprise surprise, I just dated myself. On this part 2 video at around 5:30, they show the handle stile that looks user friendly for me, and the video is showing a tractor like mine, L3400, if not the same. I like the control buttons at a thumbs reach, and I'm not sure but it looks like the same one you show or very similar in your picture, so what brand control grip are you showing, and/or where you'd get itI am surprised that you like the control grip for your style of loader joystick. Are you thinking about doing this (see picture) so that the grip is properly oriented?
Gotcha, If I had your $$ I'd some how convince my wife that I had to buy the newer model tractor because my old wore out tractor doesn't have that plate welded on the loader, if she said no. I'd probably tack/weld a couple nuts on instead paying $40.00 for that little plate. I looked at the control valve ***. in figure 1, and it looks like it sticks out beyond the loader mount more than the one does on the (Construction Attachment) site video, maybe there's another mounting option, and I don't think I'd like the 3rd. function buttons on the side of the nob ether, I have vertical thumbs so I like buttons on top, but it'sIf you google the third function valve kit #380-166A you should get a hit to an Adobe file that you can download. The hangar I mentioned is shown in figure 5 and is labeled "E". You can see the plate that is welded to the loader lift arm. This is the 1065 loader I think that is offered with the MX5200 series tractors. The plate and the hangar are on the current loader. Older models don't have it. I plan to drill the loader arm and thread it so I can attach the hanger bracket. Everything else in the file is included with the kit. Good Luck!
Must be a Cal Smith fan to. Looks like it's welded on, I see a button on top for opening and closing a grapple and a trigger for a grenade launcher, awesome, where 'd you get your 3rd function setup. In this world wide web I found only two easy ordering web sites for a 3rd. function setup, ( Everything Attachments) and ( Idaho Implements). Here is how I mounted mine , it had the round rubber knob like in the video. This way is very comfortable and really easy to operate.
I got a disappointment today. I have had an old Ford 850 tractor for forty years. I just bought a new John Deere 3038E and have really enjoyed it. I decided to buy a grapple for it and it turns out that I can not put the functions of the grapple on the FEL controller. The controls will be beside the seat ... meaning to open and close the jaws of the grapple I will have to move from the FEL controller to the grapple/jaws controller beside the seat. Had I realized this, I might have opted for a different tractor. Are there any work-arounds for this so all controls can be on the FEL joystick? I know it is a minor issue but an issue I would rather not deal with.
