What should I expect to pay for labor on a 3rd function valve kit install on a B2601?

Thanks!

Kubota dealer charged me $1200 for labor and parts on my new tractor if you want to use that as a baseline.

Not sure about your B but I got a few quotes from $300 - $380 (in labor) for my MX5800 WR Long 3rd function install. Prob. going to attempt myself...

I've had guys tell me as little as 30-45 minutes up to a couple of hours installation at home for the custom WR Long 3rd Function Kit we offer. A dealer would probably say 3 hours or so.
$50 off if you order with the best B Series Grapple on the Planet; Incredibly strong, yet lightweight, 200 Pound Wicked 55!!

This isn't a B series, but it is the same concept and could be useful to you.

I bought my WR Long third function valve and Land Pride grapple from the local Kubota dealer. The valve + installation - $1100.

That's almost precisely what I paid for the Kubota third function valve installed on my B3350 at my dealer.

Paid $695 with free install with new tractor set up.
Posted my details in other threads. I got a very fair deal.

Check out videos online on the install. If it's anything like my L series kubota it will take you 30 minutes to do yourself. I purchased the WR long 3rd function from everything attachments. Directions were really easy to follow and came with all hoses and parts needed.

Its not difficult to install yourself. Routing the cables nicely is what took me the most time. Couple hours install time.

My problem with this - hydraulics are somewhat of a black art for me. I wouldn't know where to start and I'm just to darn old to start learning this stuff now. The dealer did a fantastic job of locating and installing it and I'm happy I didn't have to do it myself. "A man has got to know his limitations".

Yep. Same here. They also warranty their work. $400 out of $28,000 financing was worth it for me.

I do most of my own car repairs so the money I've saved over 30 years would have probably paid for my new tractor.

I thought I would save some money and do the install myself on two Kubota 3rd function loader valves for B26 and m59. Needed complete filters and hydro oil change on the m59. Knoxville Kubota can change oil, filters, pickup and deliver cheaper than I could by the parts and jugs of oil! They buy super udt in bulk tote that makes the $$$ difference. Asked about installing the 3rd valves? $100 each and they would waive the pickup and delivery fees. Also added rear ballast to the b26 tires. I paid the Real Goods price of about $850 each for Kubota 3rd valve kits from the same dealer. It would have taken me longer to do the work myself. I let them do it. The fit and function of the valves is great. Moral of the story is always check with the dealer. They seem more willing in off season, less busy times to make customers happy. Honestly they have been a good dealer.

I agree. Always worth a phone call, or better yet drop by and chat with your local dealer, if not too far.

For some time is money and don't want to mess around with oops, and restarts. I am close to getting my Top and Tilt cylinders and already have the valves. Gonna DIY this with the hoses, and mounting. It will take me plenty of head scratching, beers, and hesitation but I will hopefully have the satisfaction of learning something by doing, not just reading.

Stupid question, but other than a grapple, what attachments would I need this for?

I want to upgrade to a B2601 or B2650. Don't think I'd need the third function as I doubt I'll be getting a grapple, especially if I go with a B2601, but are there other really useful attachments I may want it for?

I think hydraulic adjust on a snowblower chute. Thumb on a FEL bucket. You can divert it to drive other things like a top and tilt, but really a rear remote kit is better for that. Best use though is that grapple.

I use mine for the "thumb" on my bucket and snow plow angle.Wouldn't be with-out it.Not enough flow to run any hydraulic motors;I.E. post hole digger, broom ect.
