Agree. Bolt-on ballast does little to lower the center of gravity (COG) below the axle, and is typically limited to a weight that is user-manageable. Riding mowers and garden tractors come to mind. A 70% fill of liquid tire ballast on the other hand - on CUTs and larger - is almost always heavier than wheel weights AND is more likely to lower the COG. I distributed almost half a ton of RimGuard around the 4 corners of my 3720. If money is no object, wheel weights PLUS liquid ballast is an excellent combination.If at all possible, you should fill those tires. The weight of the filled tires really stabilizes the tractor. You cannot put ballast any lower then the tires.
