4" rotary cutter- new or used and what brand?

Not turf.

I maintain woodland paths. I mow to inhibit undergrowth.

Taller is better....more likely to inhibit erosion and foot traffic wear.

Raise your rear wheel, so that you can mow with the front measurably lower than the rear. Once I learned this my mowing tasks got a lot easier. The worst case scenario is having the front higher than the rear. This means each stalk is incrementally cut several times as the tilted deck passes over it. If the deck is angled forward then the stalk is only cut once by the front arc of the blades. The difference in load on the tractor is noticeable.

I found that a 4' foot is better in the woods for cutting sticker bushes and saplings

Besides price - which may be inflated by the seller - how do you tell the difference between LD, MD and HD cutters? Is there a list somewhere?

Thanks,

By what size sapling it would cut ie: 0 to 1" 0 to 2" etc
