Truthfully it took a 3 year hiatus but never the less I started this sawmill 4 years ago and finally decided to finish it in the last few weeks. It cuts amazingly well I'm super happy with it so far. Only have 10 foot of track built right now so I'm limited to 6' boards but as soon as I can get some guards on it I'm going to build another 10' for a total of 16' of use able track. The Eastern Red Cedar we broke down today was right at 22" and yielded 9-1x12s. Coolest thing is the neighbor cut down a huge old growth pine today and I already got permission to go get it tomorrow.

Have fun. Spoils of your work look like pro doings.

Looks pretty nice! Did you source all the parts individually or did you get one of the "kits"? Were you able to keep the cost less than the Harbor Freight mill? It goes on sale for $2000 plus freight.

I've got a whole stack of logs I'd like to mill down...just need to build or buy a mill!

Everything was either hand made or pieced together mostly from the surplus center. Harbor freight engine. I probably have about 700-800$ in it so far.

I always said you can't have enough wood for projects and enough rock for the drive and around buildings otherwise your always in the mud or don't have wood for projects. Always keep a little pile of each. Also I like that shooting bench. Seen some like that somewhere else. Nice!!!!
