Wow that is such a nice barn. I love the panels they will be great for letting light in. What will you be using the barn for? When will you do the pour for the concrete?
Great write up btw.

Initially, the idea is to have storage for a while so that we don't have to haul things back and forth from where we live now to this property 2 hrs away. Eventually it will be used to support our small hobby farm. I want to park my tractor and 20' equipment trailer under the lean-to. I have to get some more grading done, then gravel spread out in a month or so. It will probably be about 2 months when we get the concrete delivered.

Thanks.

Great photo journal. It was really interesting to watch it go up the way you showed it. I have to agree, you got your money's worth. Thanks.

Nice shed. Could you disclose the purchase price with install included?

Very nice barn and thread!

Any particular reason you went with 2 different types of doors?

For the price, it's available by going to DIYpolebarns DOT com. Use their instant custom quote tool where you can enter the size and add the options. It will show you the estimate for the building and show you the approximate cost to use one of their preferred builders. It's pretty easy and you don't have to enter any contact info unless you want to.

The barn doors add to the look and also give you about a foot more vertical clearance than the roll up doors. IMHO -What you loose using the barn doors is they are less secure than the roll-up doors. The barn doors have a cam lock mechanism on each side holding them closed against the walls but they can still bow out in the center where they meet. My plan is to use a vertical rod that will lock in the center that will slide into a recessed pipe in the concrete when I get that poured. That should add some security to the doors.

Nice building. My Morton building has the cam locks on the sides. Here is how the bottom is secured. The door handles are secured inside with the large bent rods. The smaller rod is for the outside handles. Once the sliding doors are secured from the inside they cannot be moved and are watertight even in a blowing rain.

Randy,
That center plate is exactly what I need also. I'll have to look around to find one of those. My cam locks look just like yours for each side.

Nice barn and a quick build. Is the side "lean to" in addition to the 40' width? What is the size for the "lean to" rafters? whats the pitch of the main roof?

I just priced my pole barn size on their web site, their price is good, and what they quote for labor is good.
