I'm considering trading down to the 4110 from my 6000 and getting the backhoe attachment. Kind of switching away from farming to excavation. My question is I have an 80" tiller and a few other attachments for my 6000 that I have serious doubts the 4110 will handle. For instance the 7ft bushhog, 7ft disc mower, 80" tiller, IH sqaure baler. Also is the 4110 loader gonna be stout enough to handle moving 4 ft rolls of hay? How big a tiller will the 4110 handle? Will the 4110 be ok with a 7ft disc mower? Also last price I got on a 4110 4wd with loader was $17900. Any increases since last fall? This sound fair?

can't answer all your questions, however, I will say I have a 6 ft hog mower and a Bradco 511, 11 ft backhoe. After each use with this hoe, I check underneath and have never found anything loose or loosen up. The hoe is pretty substantial coming in at over 1800 lbs. I also have the PTO pump and 15 gallon hydraulic tank that is tucked up under the hoe mount brackets and these in themselves add considerable to the hoe. The back end (3pt) on a 4110 is pretty stout.. The FEL, I have at 1100 lbs only because I added a Fisher 8 ft snowplow cutting edge to the bottom of my FEL bucket. The plow blade is pretty heavy. I haven't heard that price at elast around here. 19 and change is more like it.

I have a 4100 which is essentially the same tractor as a 4110. It's a great little tractor, but the implements you want to use are WAAY TOO BIG for this tractor. If you need to use those implements I'd look at something at least as large as a 790 size tractor, maybe larger.

Actually, a Mahindra 4110 has enough lift capacity with the FEL to carry around a JD 4100 or even a JD790. In fact, if you put a JD4110 in the bucket and another on the forks in the back, it would be good ballast. Of course, the Mahindra 4110 with R4's and a ML112 loader is about 5000 lbs without ballast, so perhaps the green weights aren't needed.

All in fun guys, I have some green tractors too! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Not the same thing. A 4100 series JD is 20 gross, 17 net hp and weighs in at 1700 (taken from JD build and price web page), My Bradco backhoe weighs more than your whole machine. I have a 4110 Mahindra that weighs 4000 plus another 1900 just for the hoe. It is 41 gross 33 net PTO hp.. All these mfg should get together and use basically the same numbers. JD does not. IN theis respect, JD is way behind times. Their 690/790/990 excavators are just now using 160/220/235 metric ton numbers as have all other heavy construction mfg been using for many years..

Is your 6000 a 4WD? If so why not install the Mahindra/bradco 511 hoe onto it with a 14 gal/min pump and tank kit, it makes a nice combo.

Duh! Guess I should have read the post more carefully. Same model number, very different tractors.

I dont think a 4110 will handle a 7'disc mower.Mine is a VICON and requires 10 hp per disc.I have 6 discs on mine and it really pulls down a 5000 ford in heavy fescue & orchard grass.I usually try to mow in 6th gear, but there are times when I cant, due to lack of power. I want a 4110 for raking and utility work. Will it load and unload 6x5 bales, and are dual remotes available?I would need em for my V rake

The 4110 will handle everything but the disc mower, but you can go with a more efficient drum mower for about what you can get out of your disc mower.

I have lifted 5x6 round bales with my loader with a box blade for ballast on the rear (though I guess you could use the JD 4110 instead).

I pick up 5X5 rolls with a spear on my bucket, but it makes the rear wheels very light unless I put a roll on the 3 point spear. I have used the box blade and bush hog on rear at times. Does OK with bush hog and another roll of hay, box blade is kind of light but did help. I have stripped the front drive shaft splines using only the bucket spear with roll when in 4WD. The roll of hay on the front with nothing on the back puts a lot of weight on front axle and makes it hard to steer. I do not know what pricing is in this area for a new 4110. I found mine at a yard sale with 5 pieces of equipment. Think I got a very good deal on it. First Mahindra I ever operated and have been very happy with it.

Wow! This must've been a really tough question. It took 6 years, 3 months, and 7 days for your reply! :p

It's good info, though.

If you are planning on getting a 511 backhoe, be sure you have over 11 gpm pump, which is on my 6520 and I have to run full throttle to get into the 511s "happy" range. Talk to Dougster on www.******************.com. He has a 509 on a 4110 and also has all kinds of attachments for it. He will know answers to your questions. If you can not reach him there, PM me and I will get his email address to you.

I should have realized that this was an old thread. Joel already bought a Mahindra 3710 and backhoe. Too much going on here with my shoulder OJI and just getting my daughter out of the hospital. So sorry!
hugs, Brandi
