I think I'm getting closer (see Is it extravagant? in general buying) to buying a tractor.
After the info I received on the 4010, my new first choice is the 4110. I want to be sure I get everything I should when (if?) I order it. Here is what I know I want
4110 Hydro
Dual SCV
R4 tires
410 Loader
60" deck
mulching kit for deck
Folding ROPS
Now, I'm not sure of a couple of options:
When do I want extra hydraulic outlets? Someday I'd like to have a hyd top link & maybe a three point log splitter. Are the outlets dealer installed option or factory? Will it cost me significantly more to add it later? ($250 each on deere's price config)
I'm leaning towards a ballast box vs. loaded tires. My reasoning is that I'd like to keep the tractor light for mowing. The flip side is, will I want loaded tires if I plan to use a rear blade for snow removal? According to the chart listed in DIY tire filling, I'll only get 100# (maybe more, the R4 size wasn't listed only R1) in each tire. Probably have to hitch up something on the 3point as well to properly balance tractor. I'd probably do the filling myself (I have a sump pump for my pool cover that should move the "safe" antifreeze nicely)
Speaking of the rear blade, should I get that at the same time? Or wait untill winter? If I go with the filled tires ILO ballast box, I'd probably get the blade for the counterweight.
Am I missing anything?
