I have a "new to me", 2006 Mahindra 4110 with 850 hours on the clock. Although I grew up on a farm and was on a tractor by myself at age 6, it has been 30 years since I touched one. What we had growing up was older MF 135, Ford 5000 and 7500 plus a couple of AC 185XTs.
That said, I am trying to familiarize myself with the newer units which are quite a bit different.
It seems as though my 4110 is stuck in 4WD. I noticed this yesterday while clearing some small brush in soft dirt with the FEL, which was the first time I have actually put a load on the tractor. Pushing brush into a pile I saw the left front wheel start to spin. Huh, the selector was in 2WD so I stopped, throttled down and put it into 4WD. Moved around a bit with no load, then put back into 2WD. Same thing with a load. Did this several times all with the same result.
Haven't called the dealer yet since it's the weekend. Thought I would post and see if any of the experts has an opinion or something I can check. BTW, I have no problem working on anything mechanical or electrical.
Thanks in advance!
