UPDATE

My Deere came with the SCV system installed. Also there is another block sandwiched between the scv and the main housing that looks just like a power beyond block. It even has the 2 ports in the bottom and they are pluged. So can I remove the 2 plugs and run lines into them to a directional valve? Is this the same as the power beyond block that comes in the kit? Also when a SCV is installed, Does it come with the power beyond block for some reason?? LOOKS like I might get to save some money?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ALSO

Are the 4 statements correct.
1. If you get the tractor with NO scv and NO power beyond then Deere Caps it of with a block that looks like the power beyond block but without the 2 ports.
2. If you get the power beyond only then Deere removes the cap, Puts on the power beyond and then places the cap on the end of the power beyond.
3. If you get just the SCV then Deere removes the cap and puts on the SCV block and throws the cap away as it is not needed.
4. If you add the power beyond option and already have the scv then Deere un bolts the scv and slides in the power beyond in between the main housing and the scv. ( Are does the SCV come with the power beyond and they cap of the 2 out going ports)

I was planning to mount my underneath the left floorboard and remaking the handles.
Under the left floorboard? I plan to use mine for a Toplink and a dump trailer, so the handles needed to be reachable while looking back. Where I have mine, this is easy to do going forward or backward, the hoses are short, and the quick couplers are easy to reach.
Did you know the power beyond block is the same block that came with your scv valve but the plug (PT13744) is missing and you can order that plug.
Yeah, I figured that out after I bought the PB kit, But I did use most of the fittings and the hoses so it was close to a wash I guess...It sure saved my time trying to source the proper fittings. And that block is in a real tight place, it was nice to know that the fittings would fit in there.
can you measure the pressure on the return line
Not easily...
Because the power beyond is in series with scv and lift (ahead of the lift) so when you load the lift system and lets say the pressure get 1200 psig, the return line (tank port) on the new valve which feed the lift will be 1200psig. I have not found a valve which will go 1000psig on the tank port. Most series valve have 3 ports(supply, p/b & tank) except for the last valve which has 2 port (supply, tank) because the p/b and tank port become one. When you add a new valve you plug the common path and make 3 ports. The new valve will have only two ports but it will be last in the system. In our system the power beyond is not last in the system but the middle and I do not know how to keep the tank port under 500 psig (which is my valve max tank port pressure).
Well, I never researched it that much detail, and all I can say is that the way I have it works just fine, And has for a few others also...

( So does this mean I don't have to buy the John Deere BM19290 power beyond kit?? Also can you tell me how the hydraulics of the 4115 work and what power beyond is?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
)

Technically, you do not HAVE to buy the PB kit, But you will have to buy that little plug that goes in the block, and then source all the fittings, and have the hoses made.

Looking back, I still would have bought the PB kit...

Power Beyond is a term used for a "pressurized loop" of hydraulic oil, so you can "Tap" into that loop to add control valves. The JD kit just extends this loop to the rear of the tractor mainly for bachoes and logsplitters thta have there own valve, or you can add your valve like I did. You just have to keep the loop closed or the hydraulic system will go into relif and nothing will work

Clear as mud?

Yes, but the block is ported internally so the oil will flow through it.

Yes, I think so...
3. If you get just the SCV then Deere removes the cap and puts on the SCV block and throws the cap away as it is not needed.
Yes

The SCV and the block are 2 different parts. I think I answered the other part in previous posts.

Thank alot, that make me feel better and I am going to proceed with installing my valve. And the reason am picking left floorboard is because of the mid lift kit location.

John deere is in the part business make one part to do more jobs and sell you parts every job.

Glad to help...
Can you please take pictures of all the peices for the mid lift? I would like to do this to my deck someday....
You can email them direct to me if you want, I can PM you my email address.

Thanks.

Yes pm your e-mail and I will send you some picts. I have the right wheel off now for the valve installation so I can get some really good picts of the mid lift kit. The only thing that is bad about the kit is the deck height adjustment, you have to get off the tractor to reach it. I looking into legnthen the adjustment rod so Iyou don't have to get off tractor.
Sorry for the grammer I was a math & science geek.

Thank you for the education. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif So that means the hydraulics are away flowing threw the system to keep the pump cool and filtered?? what does the valve do I have to add for the power beyond?? Also I see there are 3 opening on the power beyond block. One for out, One for in and the third for ??? Relief??
Send me your email and I will send over the mid lift install manual. It shows all the stuff and were it goes. joecdeere sent it to me so I would be more than happy to pass it on. Its pretty high priced for what it is. plus it only fits a 4100 and 4110 and not a 4115. Do you know why?? the 60" deck uses all the same Deere part numbers for mounting for both the 4110 and 4115. I plan on building my own. I would love to have some one measure out the main bracket that mounts to the rear pins. I'm not to worried about making the lift height adjuster. I really don't know why you would need it. Do you?? One stop for a set up position should be fine and not need adjusted. What do you thank. My email is 4115deereman@charter.net

Thank again and to all of you who have posted on this topic.
