Can you sen those pics my way as well?? My email is 4115deereman@charter.net

What tractor is this going on?? I want to adapt this kit to fit my 4115. they both use the same deck bracket kit. Also why do you need the height adjuster? Does it mater wear the deck sits when you put it up?? I thought maybe a solid stop fabricated would work? Thanks

I assuming you mean the three hole in the inside of the block. one hole is the supply one is the power beyond going to the lift and the other is tank for the scv. Your system has a fixed displacement pump not variable or centrifical ( centrifical pump are what most pumps are like well pump) so your pump cannot be dead headed because it will break and explode. Because of this your system has a flow loop from tank to pump to valves and back to tank. The purpose of the valve is to cut off oil going to the tank and go to a cylinder or motor. the valve also send the return oil from the cylinder or motor back to the tank. the reason they are call directional valve is that they can send oil different direction like a cylinder ( in or out)
I will look into why the kit is not for 4115. The reason for the height adjustment is that you may not cut the same all the time. I cut one part off my yard 3" and the field beside me 3.5".

OK and Thank you for the explanation. I am totally new to hydraulic operation on tractors. I'm an electrician and work on CNC machines that use a lot of numatics and hydraulics. But either one vale is off and the other is on in a 2 valve system or in a one valve system it switches flow direction. I never really understood why one is better than the other. As far as the height adjuster goes, When you lower your deck, It will lower by hydraulic pressure and not the weight of the deck? I was still thanking it would float down like it does when using the 3 point hitch to operate it. So does the height adjuster stop the deck at the adjusted height when lowering or does it set it to an adjusted height when raising the deck.

Also, What type of valve are you going to use?? Brand and Model??

I work at 2 onto 1 gas turbine plant. Most of the valves on our gas turbine are hydraulic. Industrial hydraulics use parallel feed close center valves, so the system can run all the valves at once or the pressure relief valve open up. This system waste alot of energy but allow all the systems to work at the same time. Small mobile equipment cannot do this because of lack of hp.
The deck lowers by weight and raises by hydraulic. This allows the deck to float. The height adjustment hold the deck up off the ground.

HMMM I see now, There is only 1 line going to the cylinder? I thought there was 2. so you must let the deck float down, then set your desired height and then raise the deck till it hit your adjusted stop. Do you have any problems with the system bleeding off causing you to periodically having to raise the deck again and again or does it hold its post ion well?? What model valve did you use? Can you send pics when you send out the others to Kennyd??

You mentioned this : Did you know the power beyond block is the same block that came with your scv valve but the plug (PT13744) is missing and you can order that plug. Is there a diagram that shows how and wear this plug installs? Also is the PT a deere part number and what does that plug do? I have the scv on my deere and I see the power beyond looking casting installed with 2 plugs on the bottom of it.

Can some one look at the attached picture and post the 2 measurement for the 4110 as noted in the picture? I will do the same for the 4115 and maybe we can see whats difference is about the rear of the 3 tractors and make some adjustments for the hydraulic lift kit for the 4115 since it is only available for the 4100 and 4110. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used a tape measure on my 4110 but couldn't get right on top of the pieces so I had to 'eyeball' the start & end point. These are close but not exact;

1. 13"
2. 6 1/2"

Sorry for the long delay on any responds, but I been snow sking and just got back. My measurement are the same as the other post(give a take 1/8"). the pdf file you sent me has a part number on the rear coupler which is common for 4115 and 4110. I think the kit is showing 4115 tractor because the mower rear links are further apart. My links are 18" apart what is a 4115 or 4110 rear mowers links distance apart ?
