Price Check 4300 Pricing

The dealer is a thief. Go somewhere else. There is another thread in this forum, JD Pricing, about Internet prices that you might find interesting.

The price you are getting is just a bit under what I was being given for a 4700, PowerReverser tranny, three SCVs, power beyond kit, hydraulic toplink, MX6, JD 430 FEL with 4n1 bucket, and mid range 7' box blade. Not including taxes.

Dealer prep and delivery was included in the price I was given. That included ballast in the tires.

Find another dealer.... Heck, I'm still waiting for a price on a TN55/65 tractor from a New Holland dealer. Won't do business with him after my experience and he lost the sale.

Pricing is one of the toughest things to do when buying a tractor. It is VERY easy to compare apples and dates.

The tractor was priced at 21,133 which included tall folding ROPS, R1 16.9-24 tires, third SCV, Power Beyond Kit, heavy duty hydraulic toplink, dealer prep, ballast in tires, and delivery. The best I can tell I got a fair price on the tractor. There are a few prices mentioned in the 4700 area at www.jplan.com. The prices mentioned over there are a bit higher but had HST and R4 tires. But they did not have the extra values and such. But the prices seem pretty close. The price for the 4700 with HST at jplan was 21,298.

A dealer priced me a TN45, which is slightly less powerful than the 4700 at 19,800 but it did not have the third SCVs, power beyond kit, the FEL 4n1 controler, or the $300 hydraulic toplink. I figured by the time these items were added to the base TN45 the final price would be about the same or maybe a little lower on the JD4700. And I liked the JD dealer a bit better. The NewHolland dealer and dealership were upfront and honest. But the JD dealership and people were just a bit better. I don't think anyone would have gone wrong buying from either dealer. Now there is another New Holland dealer that would not even give me the price on his tractors! He said he would mail the prices. Never got 'em.

I'm seriously thinking of writing that dealership's owner a letter about my experience with them and including a picture of my new, but not so shiney anymore, JD tractor.

i just received a quote for a 4300 mfwd hst, r4's,folding rops.430 loader,61" bucket with level indicator ... All for 18300 ...Quote is from Missouri..I'd say that your price is too high!!!

Paul -- Before settling on a Kubota L3010 I nearly bought a JD 4300HST 4WD with 430 FEL and HD bucket, 72" rear blade, 72" 3PH finish mower, folding ROPS, rear light and rear hydraulics for $22,300. Fantastic tractor, but I think your price is high. Pete

Paul,(or any one else in the know) I'm also in the NH/VT area looking for a 4200 or 4300 tractor. The price quotes that I have recieved seemed considerably higher then ones listed here by others. I also live in NH and am just beginning to look at 4300's. Can people provide more info as why they bought the 4300 instead of equivalent Kubota or Mulholland? Was it price or features or reputation or ???
Also, for those looking in NH, who did you visit and where did you end up buying at?

Paul, Maybe this will help you. I've shopped around a bit and got a best price of $18,475.00. 2001 4300HST, DSCV,FOLDING ROPS,R4 TIRES, 430 LOADER WITH THE STANDARD 61" BUCKET. SOUTHEAST USA
