4300

Gentlemen-
I have been debating between a Kubota & a Deere. I am considering a 4300 to cut my yard (3+acres) & fields (10+). I have a 5' brush hog that I plan to use. The tractor has about 200 hours on it, and comes with a 72"mmm. It is hydrostatic w/4wheel drive. What would you say is a fair price?

Not sure about used price. Both tractors are well made and should last you forever. I have a 4300 with 500-600 hours on it and love it. I maintain about 10 acres where I live and also drive over to a 40+ acre spot where I am building to do some work there. I cut some very steep hills with a 5 foot hog and have no problem. I have been thinking about going up to 6' hog since my new place is flatter. I love the 4300 (mine is synchreverser with 4WD) and will likely buy Deere again when I move to my larger spot and do more "real farming." Check around and see who your best/closest dealers are for support. If Orange is the closest and best dealer to deal with buy the Orange..same goes if the Green dealer wins.

I honestly think this is the nicest sight on the whole WWW web thing. Honest, nice people...seems rare these days but its nice to know real people still exist.

I also have a JD4300 that I bought used here in MS. It had about 300hrs on it and it now has 600+hrs on it. Just for an FYI I paid $9500.00 for just the tractor. I've had it for over 2 years and love it so for. I have about 4 acres of yard I keep up with a 261 JD mower. Also have a lot of others 'toys' I use with it. It works great for getting the deer fields ready in the fall. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
