Hi there - you guys really provide great feedback, so I thought I'd throw in my existential questions /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I have a ranch in mendocino, CA with lots of rough land and miles of dirt road to maintain. Right now I also need to trench down many miles of pipe. Later I need to mow my little vineyard w/ 8ft spacing. Finally, I need to spread lime in an orchard (few acres). I already have a backhoe so I dont care about a loader.
Soo... like everyone I started low and talked myself up.. For serious trenching I need Hydro and at least 25 hp on the PTO. For rocky condition I probably need a bit more, so I guess TC33 or 4210 is MINIMUM. But to get to 4cyl and more power, I'm now thinking to splurge on TC40D. Like some of you I like the green ones, so that is why I'm looking at those, but they seem much less tractor to me..
Comments?
* Smaller vs. larger
* JD vs. NH
* Other brands?
THanks!
Jacob.
