Does anybody know what a blinking icon in the little dash panel would be trying to tell me? It is in the far left side of the panel. I cannot find one thing in the manual that even shows a picture of the dash panel. I just went over the 10 hour mark and I think it is telling me to perform the 10 hour maintenance check but I just want to be sure. Also how does one get it to stop blinking?

On another issue, A couple of weeks ago when I was trying to level out my pasture with my BB I was turned around in the seat looking backwards and as I was pulling I must have hit a hard spot in the ground and the tractor jerked a little which no big deal but as it jerked the engine totally shut off. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what went wrong I noticed that the key was in the off position. It turned out that my knee must have hit the key and turned off the tractor. I only mention this because it has hapenned to me two more times. Has anyone else had this happen?

I guess I'll move the seat back and see if it still happens.

If you're talking about the icon in the hour meter, it's telling you the meter is working/advancing

I've unintentionally shut the tractor off with the key but have dumped the mid-PTO by shifting on the seat. I'm more careful now and am considering bypassing the seat switch as I don't see in the service manual where the OS backchecks it.

Get used to the blinking icon, it's an hour meter function. There are no service reminders built into the OS, it's up to the operator based on their usage.

The only blinking icon I've had on my 4010 panel is when I have the parking brake set. I'm now at 11.7 hours.

Haven't bumped the key, but let a short friend ride on the tractor after I had the seat back for letting her young son stand in front of me on the seat and steer the tractor. She killed the tractor twice. Finally figured out that she was sitting on the front part of the seat to reach the peddles because I'd forgotten to run the seat up close for her.

I was forever killing the engine until I got trained to put the range selector in neutral each time. Finally got myself trained. Still working on getting used to the joy stick. Keep confusing it with the forward and reverse peddles at times.

Good morning

I agree with the other guys that the blinking icon is the function of the hour meter. Mine is still blinking after 500 hrs and I guess that is a good thing.

Good luck

I found that if I used a key ring that sooner or later I would knee it off, but since I switched to a key chain I havent had a problem with it. I have disconnected my seat switch for two main reasons- the snow and ice builds up preventing it from closing and it used to be very disconcerting to be bouncing along and have the engine miss when you are miles from anywhere. I know it is a safety feature but with Hydro I feel that it is an aggrivating solution to a non-existant problem- would be different with a gearbox tranny.

I have never had the issues with the seat switch that you are talking about. It seems to have been resolved in the new design of the seat.

I have thought about bypassing the seat switch also. If I am using a landscape box and raise up in the seat to look back and down to see just how high I have the box off the ground the engine starts to shut off. Of course that is if I have the tractor in gear.

Thanks!
I guess I just happened to notice the thing blinking after 10 hours and thought it was trying to tell me something. I guess I won't have to worry about it now unless it stops blinking.
