Rat, don't forget:

This fine machine didn't come with only ONE hydro pedal, I get TWO.

The JOYSTICK is where God intended it to be.

And I can always find my seat in the DARK!

and NO I do NOT want to FEL arm wrestle with whatever Fine Machine you end up with!!

Thanks for the help, bud, we owe you...

Hey - if you're happy I'm happy.
Now that its settled in your mind, get on with enjoying your new toy-I mean tool.

Mike, maybe before you scratch up the FEL, your dealer could trade you up for the difference. I think it is somewhere around $400-$700. I can't remember.
It's kind of weird but my dealer actually charged me for a 420 but delivered with a 430 FEL. That is why I'm not sure of the cost difference.
Nice machines these 4310's.
After reading another thread about too big of a tractor (Kubota 3830), I'm even happier with my decision to go green. I knew when I purchased that the Bota' was heavier and at that time, I considered the Bota to have an advantage in that category. Anyway, My father in law loans me his JD 5420 whenever I need bigger. So I have the best of both worlds. By the way, my dealer, Jaeger's in Giddings TX has been outstanding. Already bought some new shredder blades, only $32 for the set. That's cheap!

Have fun, be careful, post some backhoe-action shots.

Hey don't sweat it, you'll learn to like it, it takes some getting used too, just don't hit the forward when what you really wanted reverse. After using a single pedal for a couple years, I had no problem using the 2 pedal setup on a JD 510 mower, it's a no issue deal with me.

All kidding aside, you will like the R1's. I had a bunch of questions in my mind as what to do. Get turfs and some wheels for a set of Michelin R1's only in the R4 sizes. The Michelins have a great R1 with full plys of a R4 and the bonus of radial tractor tires. Supposedly the best traction available period.

I think if you do not need the lift height on your loader, you will be quite pleased with the loader you got. Does it also have the same bucket size as the 430?

I can tell you are envious of the yellow seat...

As to the bucket sizes, the 61" standard duty is the biggest Deere offers for the 420. The HD buckets, 4n1, bale spear, and front blade are some options for the 430, not the 420. These might fit the 420, but it might make for warranty issues, if I went with them...

I just got off the phone with the dealer, and they are going to get the 430 for me. I am paying the differance. I know it would have always bugged me.
Thanks guys!

Mike, can't quite see in your lead picture but it looks like you got the "new" 4000Ten seat? True? Anything worth noting compared to the older ones you may have seen/sat in at the dealers?

Considering all the circumstances, if the dealer will swap out your 420 for the 430 for only FEL cost difference (no service/setup/delivery charges), I'd call that fair enough.

You guys are making me wish I could justify my tractor now and not wait for fall or next spring! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes, it is the new seat. I think its great. I like lumbar support on seats, so I am very happy with it. Still not sure about what the new control does, it seems to adjust recline, but only slightly....

I am going to do the delivery/setup for the loader myself. I am happy with that

That's what I thought.
So glad you found a compromise to your situation.

Great looking rig... you will love it (especially the BH)... I've had my 4310 about 1 year now and it continues to reinforce my decision to go Green! Best of luck with her (?) and post some action photos! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
