Well after a month and 2 days The JD dealer calls me and says come test drive your tractor. So I went there today and test drove it and it was like driving a totally different tractor. It had more power than I had expected. I think they swapped the computer from the 4720 but don't know that as a fact. But it starts up and only the normal black smoke for about 15 seconds and then clears itself out. They said they found the injectors timed wrong and the rack that controls fuel was assembled incorrectly and was also adjusted wrong. My driveway is at a 15 percent grade at start and goes to 18 percent. Before it would not climb it in B" range let alone C" range without cutting out.Well it climbs it in C" now without much effort. In B" range it would loose at least 700 + RPM before it would bog and cut out now the tach doesn't move. It also would max out at 2400 RPM full throttle , Now it goes to 2800 RPM. I really thought that these tractors were real wimps ( Because the dealer before when dynoing the engine said it has more power than JD says it should but wouldn't even climb my drive way let alone do loader work) But I must say this thing is an ANIMAL!!! now that its running correctly. While they were working on the tractor they damaged a few panels that the mechanic said they were that way when he got the tractor, NOT! The owner knows me very well ( Doesn't mean he likes me ,LOL) But he came out and personally removed the damaged panels and installed new ones from a new tractor that just was delivered yesterday. All in All I'm EXTREAMLY disapointed with John Deere and how they handled the hole thing ,THey treated my if it were my problem not theirs, And a little disapointed with the dealer as well . But I'm impressed with the new found horse power this tractor has. The dyno test before showed 45 HP PTO when it wasn't running right according to JD it should have only been 43 for a short peak before dropping off to 41 for the hour test. I couldn't even guess what it is now. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
