I recently upgraded my 2210 for a 4320. After a few hours of use, I am really impressed with the 4320. I know it really isn't fair to compare the 2210 with the 4320, but for those thinking about making a jump, here are a few observations:

1) weight and stability. After a couple of years with my 2210, I have had a few near death experiences. Operating the 4320 in similar situations on my property, I quickly realized how additional weight and wheel base make a HUGE difference. Big safety difference, especially on slopes;

2) comfort. My 2210 would throw me around quite a bit, but the 4320 is like a cadillac. I'm guessing the difference has to do with the additional weight, but I think the seat suspension design is a big factor;

3) cruise control. This is a feature that I didn't think I would even use (sounds kind of sissy on a tractor), but wow, it is great. Especially when cutting a bumpy field with a hydro tranny ... creates a much smooter ride;

4) power. I know, it's obvious, but I had to mention it.

THe list goes on, but those are the highlights. Any buyer's remorse I may have had vanished after an hour on the 4320.

Glad to see you enjoying your new ride !

I got the 4720 last fall and really enjoying it. I was going from a 20 year old massey 235 so not the same kinda of change / comparison - but anyhow I do like it.

The seat is pretty nice and not sissy at all ( a butt warmer in it would be sissy if installed in the seat ) although - there are days that would be pretty nice tooo !!!! lol

Congrats! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I love our 4120! It's perfect for our place. We got the 400X loader, a tiller and a finish mower. Man this thing is fun /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Tex- Don't know about a butt warmer( I have a heated car seat cushion that I never bother with) but I sure would love a heated knob on my joystick or maybe a heated steering wheel!!!!

Rayder,

I share your feelings. I've had my 4120 now for four months and have nearly 80 hours and I'm still impressed every time I use it. The ride is very smooth and the auto cruise control was a last minute addition but I use it all the time, particularly brush cutting open fields and on those long returns back to the house. I have never run out of power, only traction, and even that is very rare. The JD engineers did their job well.

I agree with those warmers on the joystick and steering. Guess we might as well dream about some on the foot pedals as well..

My last couple trucks came with seat warmers,,, i thought kinda sissy as well.... but as it turns out - they are pretty nice on a cold texas morning... You should turn yours on once and you'll see what I mean /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think a cab might be nice,,, but I dont wanna mess with it in the summer - to much jumping on and off the tractor in my case anyhow..

Glad to hear it! I am like a kid with a new toy everytime I set up on my 4320. The roar and smell of the diesel seem to make the cold bite a little less!

pz,

Geez, after taking a look at your pictures of your tractor in its home, I feel like I'm neglecting my baby. I used to park my 2210 under my deck to keep it out of the weather, but the 4320 is too big (especially since I widened the wheel base from stock). Have to wait until I get the barn built. This weekend was difficult as we got dumped on here in Oregon (rain) and I had to look at my new tractor sitting outside in the storm. At least it is clean!

Anyway, good pictures ... obviously a proud owner.

Great pics pz31!

Not only is the 4320 an (obvious!) beauty, but the barn you've there is awesome looking as well.
