4410 codes

Codes 21 and 42. Both forward and reverse travel are cutting out randomly. When tractor does travel in forward it seems to be lacking power, fault code 21. The problems with the forward travel just recently started. Apparently reverse has been cutting out for a while. Since reverse isn't used as much, it never occurred the problem might be bigger than an electrical short or F/R lever not working properly. From what I've read, a pressure test is called for here. As for code 42, I don't exactly remember what took place for this one to pop up. It states in the manual this has to do with the clutch position potentiometer. If that's the case, I'm fixing to be $200 lighter. I could be mistaken, but by fixing this it might take care of both issues. Any thoughts?

Code 21 points to a possible bad forward pressure sensor, forward proportional solenoid, wiring problem to one of those items, or a possible internal leak in the forward clutch not allowing enough pressure to engage clutch properly. Code 42 points to the bottom of travel clutch pedal switch or the clutch position potentiometer. Code 42 can be related to forward or reverse engagement problems, but will not cause the code 21 to appear.
