The throttle on my 4410 hydro slips back after I set the RPMs. Talked to the dealer and they said it is a common adjustment they make. There is a bolt that needs tightened. They offered to come out but it would be a week or so. Was getting tired holding the lever to mow. I fixed it yesterday. You need to pull the plastic cover around the fuse panel. Then you need to takes all the bolts out for the side panel next to the key. You also need to take the bolts out of the top panel around the gauges. You lift that and the side panel works off. You do need to take the knob off the locking brake as well. Bolt is 13mm and I tightened it half a turn. Throttle is holding now.

Extra note. Some of the bolts you take out have a washer back behind. I found out when I pulled one bolt and the washer dropped. I got my hand behind on the rest.

And what do you do with the extra parts? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I have had the identical problem with my 4200. However, I was able to solve it by only removing the two bolts holding the instrument panel, pulling the panel out and then using long combination wrenches reach through to the throttle linkage and tighten the nut while holding the bolt. Sounds like the same solution but with less disassembly.
