From the manual page number 5-184:
1st paragraph, 3rd and 4th sentence:
A discharge light (H3) warns the operator if the stator stops charging. The discharge light circuit monitors stator output, not battery voltage.
4th paragraph:
If the stator output current to the rectifier/regulator stops, the rectifier/regulator provides current to the discharge light (H3) to light the lamp.
Follow test procedures:
So check output voltage (AC voltage (minimum is 26 VAC) and current from stator!
