Is TSC Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydrauilic Fluid ok in transmission? Traveller All Season Hydraulic Oil ISO 46 for hydraulic fluid? Thanks in advance!

Folks who have used TSC either love it or hate it. I believe it says it meets Mahindra specs on the packaging. I doesn’t believe those machines are too picky- sometimes folks with HSTs will complain about noise- especially with certain brands.
I use Chevron products and found a local wholesaler who will fill my 5 gal buckets for bulk pricing. I haven’t heard any complaints with Chevron stuff and it has performed well for me over the years.

I just finished my 500 hour service (about 60 hours ago) and I used the TS Traveler Premium Hydraulic fluid in the transmission, and the front axle. No noticeable difference from the OEM fluids.

HST acts the same way it always did, with a little vibration when it's cold, and no noise.

Scooped up 2 truckloads of dirt today out of a ditch, and went forward and reverse...A LOT. No issues.

Good luck.

The CUTs combine the trans and hyd fluids so you don’t want something that is “just” hydraulic. You want the the trans/hyd fluid- no matter the brand.

Thanks for the reply, the 4505 has two reservoirs one for trans and second for hydraulics, please clarify "CUTs combine the trans and hyd fluids", just not sure what you meant on this, thanks again.

Typically CUTs don’t have two systems- it sounds like yours does.

THF is a universal fluid that has added additives for the transmission. It works as hydraulic fluid. Most don’t keep both around and would run THF in both. The cost savings of using non THF in the hydraulic system isn’t worth the aggravation to most.

The tractors with separate hyd/trans reservoirs will just use 80-90w in the trans
