Looking at a 1969 4520 to buy to do winter chores with.Just wondering how good a tractor these tractors were,anything that i should look for like wear points?How do they start in the winter?Thanks.

These were good tractors but be careful because alot of these larger tractors were worked pretty hard. Lots of field plowing and high draft loads, not saying to beware but look it over and ask about rebuilds and records. Tires can be expensive so look them over too. Powershift trannies are costly to rebuild so be sure to check all the gears and see how it shifts regardless of the transmission type. Try out the 3ph with something heavy to see how it works and do the same with the pto.

Well stated plus hours and condition. Physical condition will tell you a lot about this vintage.
