I didn't know they made a 46 BH but I have a 48 BH on a 4700 and I use it a lot for digging stumps. Not all stumps are the same and some are very easy to dig while others are a challenge. I have dug some very large stumps both by hand and using the BH. Any BH is easier than digging by hand but these are small machines and you should not expect any miracles from them but they will definitely make the job easier. You have to dig around the stump just like you would do by hand and cut the roots with the bucket teeth or with and axe. The hardest stumps to dig that I have found are mesquite (locust). Even small mesquite stumps are very tough to dig out. For cedars I just push them over with the FEL bucket when the soil is wet. You will find lots of uses for a BH.
