AKfish, sorry I haven't replied sooner due to working long hours.
I am thinking about the semi-mount MX8. The John Deere salesman is supposed to come Friday at 4:30p.m. to look at the TC45DA to give me a trade-in price.
The owner of the New Holland dearship was out apprasing our TC45DA as well yesterday. He is wanting us to buy the TC45DA with a cab. We also have our tractor insurance through him.
He also stated that these higher horsepower compacts have a lot of trouble with the hydro's because of people wanting to pull plows with them. Namely, John Deere and Kubota. He may be right if you were pulling a plow with a hydro day in and day out. I won't be pulling a plow, so this should not be a problem. I just really like the Deere. It has more lift capacity at the loader, more pto power. These are things I need and want.
However, he did say that our TC45DA was the nicest he had ever seen. Said something about it was having a hard life....
. I told him we work it hard. I'm just particular with maintance and keeping it clean. He did say that I should have no trouble getting rid of it.
