4720 front knuckle seal procedure?

Does anyone know the proper procedure to replace the knuckle seal on an 09 JD4720? I'm assuming that's what it is called, it is the pivot point where the front wheel turns, not the very outer wheel seal. This seal is about 4" in diameter. Just don't want to take anything apart that I don't have to or anything that will get me into trouble. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanx for thr reply Fuse, but that manuel is for there big sprayer, not the compact tractor. I already replaced the seal in it yesterday. Yoy must remove the knuckle from the axle housing (boy is that thing heavy) and then disassemble it on the bench to get at the seal. Glad that's over with!

I have the same problem with mine and was going to order parts and do myself. This is the only related post I can find on line. I have a shop and tools but don't work on tractors for a living. Anything special about this job? From the parts brake down, not obvious what holds the knuckle together. Only see the one small clip at the bottom of the spindle assembly on the stub shaft behind the bottom plug. Any help would be appreciated, know this is kind of an old post.

??? 4720 CUT and 4720 Sprayer are two totally different beast, I sent you the tractor manual

I have done a bunch of those deere and Kubota are very similar , I use to do them with the knuckle still on the tractor laying on my back , that's not the easy way pop the tie rod off and take the 4 bolts out that hold the assembly to the axle housing , and take it to the bench . when ordering the seal also order the bottom plug . you can lighten the assembly by removing the 10 bolts are remove the hub .it has to come off anyway , when you pop the plug out and look its self explanatory snap rings and a gear. the older smaller tractors use a spanner nut with a locking tab washer .
