Evening folks I acquired a new to me low hour 484 with an 1850 loader now it appears to be plumbed to the power beyond port on the side in the aux valve BUT loader only operates when the aux lever is pressed in the down position this is the first 84 series tractor I’ve owned I understand this topic is very common but I don’t see a lot on my particular issue any help would be great guys!

If the remote valve must be moved (in any direction) for the loader valve to have oil supply, then it's NOT a power beyond block or port. The simplest way to supply a loader valve on those tractors is to interrupt flow from the MCV down on left side of the transmission housing. You can look at your tractor, follow the lines and see where they go. I believe the one you want is line 13 and adapter 14 in this diagram. Remove the line and run a hose from fitting 14 to the loader valve. A line from the loader power beyond comes down and connects to steel line 13. The third sump line from the loader valve goes back to the transmission housing by whatever port looks most convenient.

I don't have any direct suggestions on the hydraulic plumbing relating to your specific issue, however I would highly recommend getting 3 types of manuals for your tractor - operators manual, shop/service manual, and parts manual/catalog. You can find them on Ebay as reprints for a decent price, OEM manuals are pricey.

Note that there may be several of each you may need to cover all the bases of your tractor. I have different ones covering aspects of my 444 like the c153 engine specifically vs the chassis/tractor (which includes many variants - so it takes some digging to find the specific equipment sections mine is equipped with - hydraulic plumbing/3pt/remotes included).

Good luck with your project and machine. Hopefully it serves you well. We're trying to get there with our 444 this winter.

If it's hooked up "correctly" your remote should be in neutral to let your loader valve work. There are four positions on the remote lever.

UP
NEUTRAL
DOWN
FLOAT

If you are plugged it into the remote itself (or did some creative plumbing under the sheet metal) You might need the remote in "down" to power the loader valve, if the remote is in "up" the loader valve would work backwards (up is down, down is up etc) I have seen people cheap out installing loaders on new tractors, but usually the "it works, but it's not right" set ups are from putting a loader on a tractor long after it was sold new.

2200 was generally the loader sold on new 484s around here.
