Started working on the turbo piping

Wrapped the manifold with titanium wrap

Does the wrap aid in keeping the heat in the manifold and exhaust?

That brings back memories of 1964, in the Air Force with a new Covair Monza Spyder. I wrapped the manifolds and pipes up to the turbo with asbestos, then covered it with industrial strength aluminum foil.

Before wrapping, the needle in the pressure gauge would get close to the max number on the dial.

After wrapping, the needle would bounce against the peg at the end of the dial. :thumbsup:

I have always loved reading little 4 cyl diesels going into jeeps. One of my favorites I remember reading about and would love to do someday is an Isuzu 4bd1t into a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Dude had that thing pumping out like 600 ft lbs's with dual turbos! I bet this will be a fun project and hone your skills. I always think mating the drive-train part is the hardest of any of these transplants.
