4wd indicator light?

Have a L3410 and was curios if anyone knows if there may be a location to install a switch on the transmission for a light when 4wd engaged ?

Just wondering if is any cons to have the 4wd engaged all the time, other the fuel consumtion and wearing. To be honest I keep mine all the time on, just when I remembered I switch in off position.

You need to take it out of 4wd on hard surfaces. I like my 4wd light that reminds me.

No your correct, a bit of fuel and a bit of wear on stuff but no real harm. As stated above don't Run on hard surfaces , I too would like the light as a reminder, I go from soft to hard surfaces a lot around my place and the lever is down near the platform and hard to see if it's engaged or out by looking.

I doubt there's allowances for installing a 4x4 indicator on your machine. There wasn't one for my 5740 so I fabricated one for it.

I was going to offer up a suggestion but after seeing this one, that's what I would want on my tractor if it didn't have one.

I used a switch like this. This one is on my BX but it's the same as I used on our 5740. It's mounted under the cab by the 4x4 lever.

Oh crap, 4shorts... I need one of these too, why are all you BX mods killer? And this could be considered a life/death need. When I put my BX to bed I want to take it out of 4WD but twice I have forgotten to engage before heading down the hill the next time out and now I swear to leave it in always. :shocked: A simple light will not alert me. It needs to be a big lighted sign that I cannot help but to see. Otherwise... it is full time 4WD for me! Actually I could use a seat 'shocker' that buzzes me if I am not in 4WD at a given inclination.
