New Holland TC45D
Can you tell me where I should begin to look for a problem with my 4WD not working on my New Holland TC45D Tractor. It is a 2001. The lever will not move forward
to go from 2WD to 4WD. I can't afford a mechanic and have to figure it out myself somehow. Thank you

kathy, I am sorry I cannot help much, I assume you have tried lubing up the handle pivot. but one of our members named jinman is very knowledgeable on these tractors, and could possibly help you.. If you wanted to send him a private message if he does not see this post. You can find him in the member list using the above name. Good luck.

Kathy, if you have a loader, place the bucket on the ground and lift the front wheels just off the ground. This will aid in engaging and disengaging 2wd/4wd. All of our tractors are hard to shift without doing this. Let me know if this doesn't help.

Decided to go back to square one and took a good look at the lever itself. It is very bent. Have no idea "HOW" or when that happened. It's in the teens up here so will
tackle that tomorrow. Thanks again.
