I was only speaking of power steering, you are going way beyond, that in the things you mentioned. Hey we put up 10 acres of hay each year by hand, you know mules and pitchfork. One year we put up the uncles 30 acres also. We grew our own corn, acres of it. We hand milked 15 cows two times a day, plus carried the water and feed to them. I know about hard work, all our plowing was with a team, all our work was, not many people had tractors around there. A friend of ours with a tractor plowed for us one year, and my stepdad, said it wasn't deep enough, so he didn't want a tractor. I think it was like 6 inches deep, and he used the old hillside plow and probably went 10 inches or so deep. I am not against the better ways, I just said driveing a tractor without power steering isn't all that hard. Mine don't have it, and it don't need it. Maybe if it was a big tractor, it might.
