Waste of cleaner. But why even consider it, when the cabin filter comes right out by removing two simple thumbscrews? Remember, the owner manual is your friend.
By the way, how many of you have ever removed and washed the foam dust filters on the cab side of the evaporator.?

You are missing the point, no one is saying to leave the filter in place to clean it. I would not put coil cleaner on the dry filter element in any case. I looked at the evaporator and agree with Jim that access is too limited to do much good. Need to remove the lid to do anything with it.
