4x4 linkage

Hi, I have a Mahindra emax 20 hst. I have a real hard time engaging and disengaging my 4x4 lever. I only have around 100 hours on it, but it’s been doing this since new. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Rick

Rick, I have no issue engaging the 4x4 but disengaging is a little harder. The rep at RK told me to stop moving and then try slowly backing up while pushing down on the lever. I don't move but an inch or so before the 4x4 disengages.......

Don, thanks for the reply. I will try that, I’ve been reading a few post and it seams to be somewhat of a problem on some tractors. I guess there’s a few different things I’m going to try, but this has been doing it since new. Thanks again.

Another method to try is raising the front wheels off the ground with the loader to engage or disengage the FWA.

That combined with jogging the hydrostat back and forth a little might help also.
