In some cases, people won't use the brakes to steer with. In many cases they will. In a recent thread, I backtracked and counted up hours on all my tractors. Came to something in the neighborhood of 15,000 hours over 35+ years. I'd say more often than not, I used brakes to turn with when making a full lock turn. Just a habit.

But the long and short of it is, most manufacturers will give you "best case scenario" when quoting "specs". I'd venture a guess that more often than not, that'll include a bit of braking on full lock turns. If brand X does that, brand Y has to in order to be competitive.
