4x4 Question

I understand, on the L4400 I think we've sort of proved that using the brake. Still, I wonder what the numbers are without using the brake. I'm sure someone with a loader full or dirt or a 5x5 bale doesn't like to use the brake to turn. Especially on a driveway, concrete, lawn, etc...with ag tires on the front.

In some cases, people won't use the brakes to steer with. In many cases they will. In a recent thread, I backtracked and counted up hours on all my tractors. Came to something in the neighborhood of 15,000 hours over 35+ years. I'd say more often than not, I used brakes to turn with when making a full lock turn. Just a habit.

But the long and short of it is, most manufacturers will give you "best case scenario" when quoting "specs". I'd venture a guess that more often than not, that'll include a bit of braking on full lock turns. If brand X does that, brand Y has to in order to be competitive.
