Your box blade will need "keepers" welded to each side of the slots for a pin to go through. Otherwise the shanks will just slide up and down when you try to do work with them.
If you don't weld or fab you'll have to find a neighbor to do it. Oversized nuts that the pin will go through would be the easiest and quickest. It doesn't matter if the pin rattles around a bit.

Solid advice from GWDixon IMHO.
Also if you don't brace it on sides to add strenght you'll end up wallowing your ripper holes because of added stress with no support to ripper teeth holes.
As you can see by my pic#3 that Frontier/Woods box uses a different but effective locking pin system.

Here is a photo of how the rippers are held in my Befco brand box blade.

I am not sure that you don't need the rippers with notches. The notches fit inside the slot and a pin is dropped in front. The ripper can not move up or down until the keeper pin is pulled. I would ask for someone who has one.

Go to Agri Supply - Farm Supplies, Tools, Lawn Mower Blades, Cast Iron Cookware and search for part # 49686. These are notched for $16.49 each. You will need to drop a pin down behind them to keep them in place. Ken Sweet

This front notched unit was what I was thinking about, but I wasn't sure how to know if I needed front notched or rear notched. Also, do I need certain or special type of pins for these notched type rippers? Obviously, I have never used this type of equipment so I really do appreciate everyone's feedback.

If you get the ones with the notch in front then the wear pressure will take place on the front of the square mount tube on top, and on the rear of the square mount tube on the bottom.

If you get the ones with the notch in back then the pin (or wedge) will take the wear on top, and the rear of the square mount tube on the bottom.

The ones with the holes cause wear on the pins, keepers, and holes on top, and the on the rear of the square mount tube on the bottom.

Bottom line - they will all work.

The shank lock keepers for notched shanks seem to be a bit expensive at nearly $10 each.

SHANK LOCK KEEPER - Agri Supply

The shanks with the holes are cheaper as are the pins that would hold them. Those pins are only $1.69 each.

PINS F/SCARIFIER TEE - Agri Supply

You can do the math to figure out the total cost if that enters into your thinking.

Ya know, a mediocre reply to a dead thread is a bad way to start on a forum. LOL

All that is assuming you need the rippers. I have had a BB for years for driveway maintenance and only have used the rippers to break up some ice a few winters ago. I do sometimes tile the BB forward with the rippers down to till a garden. If you are not working with hard dirt, you don't need them.

If you are still interested in getting a ripper for your box blade, you can get them at agrisupply.com. I have the same IMCO box blade and needed one additional ripper to replace a missing one. What you'll need is:
Box Blade Shank 18" Long #49686
Flat Pin for Box Blade Shanks with Slots #10405
1/4'' LYNCH PIN #40789

The slots on the original ripper were on the back side (opposite side from the tooth). The slots on the agrisupply replacement are on the front. You can notch your replacement out with a grinder to make it work for your box blade. The flat pin will hold the ripper in place once it is set in a notch on the box blade. Hope that helps.
