5' cutter fits?

Re: 5\' cutter fits?

Paul, I got the 5 foot King Kutter for my Ferguson. It's too small to use with my Oliver, since the Oliver is much bigger and has a category 2 3ph. But, I prefer to use the Fergie for brush hogging anyway. I maintain about 50 acres of pasture with it, and the 5 footer is big enough, and the Fergie is powerful enough (and it's about the same as your Ford, as you know). I like brush hogging with a smaller tractor, as it's easier to get into tight spots with.

Re: 5\' cutter fits?

For what it's worth, I just got a Bush Hog Squealer SQ650 5' rotary cutter. I love it. Slip clutch works great on it. Cut stuff up to 6 - 7' tall and an 1" - 2" diameter with a JD 790 (30 hp) and it was no strain whatsoever for the tractor or the rotary cutter. Bush Hog rates the SQ650 as a light duty cutter but I'd have to say that it's really more like a medium duty cutter in my opinion.
