You've got the required PTO HP. At worst case (if the tractor's engine starts bogging), you may have to slow down.
Keep at eye on the temperature gage and keep the grills clean when brush cutting.
I run a 5' king cutter on my l3400... no problem. Ditto what Roy said about keeping the radiator screen clean... it plugs up faster than you would think.
Check your gearbox oil ! Also watch lift angles if running on hilly terrain.
You should'nt have any trouble w/that 5'.I run a BH 172 (6') behind my L3400.
I am running a 5ft tiller on a L3240 and it does fine. It does bog a little in wet ground.. Other than that I have no problem.. Geee shouldnt run it in wet ground anyway!
