I dunno Bird, It would have to shift the center of gravity slightly. Maybe I should post this on the safety forum /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Please do not smoke while filling up! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think I'll go the NASCAR route and use nitrogren (I think that is what they use) to minimize the air pressure build-up. When mowing you don't want that right front to build up too much air pressure and when cruising along at 5 mph you can where out that right front in a hurry. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I don't keep a full time pit crew around when I'm mowing, so I would have to change the tire myself /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Still on the topic of tires - If the tire is flat, do you have to turn the flat part all the way to the top (12:00) or would 3:00 or 9:00 be okay? Maybe you could get a flat 4 times before you had to repair the tire? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

"nitrogren" hey you may be on to something...with air heating up and expanding as I mow I may have to readjust my deck

JMan: You should "check" the air every 50 hrs (more often if operating the tractor outside). If it is dirty, do a complete air change and replace the stems. If it is not dirty, do it anyway. Use only replacement air run through a compressor with a filter and dessicant cell (but not a lubricator). Don't have the valve stem at the 3 o'clock position if your tires are loaded w/ beet juice unless you are making Borscht.

When in doubt, don't pay any attention to your owners' manual. Those things were written by "airheads." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think that that about covers it..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If I put helium in my tires, will it be lighter on my yard and leave less ruts? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Junkman, please be sure to dispose of the old air properly. Suggest you bring it to a licensed recycle center where it will be processed and probably shipped to the Far East. Then they will ship it back to us as hot air ready to fuel our elected officials.

In the summer, you need to fill it with hot air.
I know of a number of sources full of hot air... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
