Gene,

Be sure to search this forum on the word: filters, and you can find some cross references to wix filters. Also note that it has been reported that the Branson hydraulic filter seems to work better (less restrictive of flow) than the alternatives. So, I recommend staying with the factory filter. Be sure and clean out the debris screen on the transmission also.

I was very confused about which fluid to use, and I defaulted to the most expensive at our local supply store. I later visited a TSC store some 50 miles away and they were selling a transmission fluid for around $30.00 per 5 gallons. I had paid $45. You'll need 15 gallons to include the front axel. I had also read a post about allowing a second source of air when filling the transmission. I had a lot of 'burping' to do.

This forum has been a great source of information.

I just bought the filters for my 3510 from a local Century Dealer. I'm at 43 hours. I paid $14.15 for oil and 27.72 for hydralic plus tax. I'm not opposed to generic but I'm having too much fun with my tractor to take a chance and save the difference, maybe in 20 years .
I plan on picking up that Rotella (sp) engine oil because all my friends use it in their diesels and are happy with it. I saw it at Walmart.

Anybody have any idea what it would cost to have the dealer perform the 50 hr. service? I'm real close, and with working 12 hr. days, 7days a week, I hardly get any seat time, let alone time to do the service myself...thanx in advance for any replies...Brian

Ask your dealer.

Prices vary between dealers, especially when your are asking a national and world audience. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

GEB ..

I just did mine...get lotsa buckets because your gonna have a mess of oil to contend with. I strained my hydro fluid and put it right back where she came from...

Engine oil was a snap..go synthetic..mine really likes it!

buy the factory filters to ensure trouble free ops...yes sooner or later we'll figure a proper cross over.

All told it took about two hours....

That strainer on the bottom will be full of garbage.
You can clean it in diesel..

Enjoy! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
