50 hr service cost?

I went to nearby Kubota dealer today and bought the filters and lubricants for the 50 hour service on my L3830 GST. What a shock: $209.29 plus sales tax.

UDT fluid, 11 gallons, $124.25
Oil filter, $8.26
Hydraulic filter, $36.96.
15W-40 oil, 6 quarts, $19.03
80W-90 gear oil, 7 quarts, $20.79

Did I get taken?

A little pricey on the UDT, but otherwise looks pretty reasonable.

Just had the 50 hour "Treatment" on my B7510 HST.
They did the dirty work and it was 218.67
A smaller tractor granted.

Change motor oil
Change Hyd oil and filter
Check diff
Air filter
Grease Chassis, MMM and loader
General check over per 50 hr service manual

No, you didnt get taken. I paid a little more than you did when I did my 50 hr service on my L3130. I just did my 400 hr service and ouch, the cost was the same.
I know it seems high, but imagine the cost if the dealer had done it for you and be happy you saved on dealer servicing costs...

Recent 50 hour service on my L4630 with FEL was $272.00. Technician made a "house call" to do the work. No charge for labor or travel.

A couple of years ago the estimate to do the 50 hour service on my L3000DT was $250.00. You can do it yourself and save some money and gain some experience.

That price sounds in line with what I have seen. One thing to keep in mind is you will have some waste oil to dispose of.

You did pay too much for the UDT. Generic hydraulic fluid with the UDT approval is about $25 for a 5 gal pail. I have a 2 gal jug of transhydraulic fluid from wallyworld that I keep and pour from the 5 into the 2 then from the 2 into the tractor. It's just easier for me to control that way.
