2012 tractor has leaked steering fluid since first 6 months but ive lived with it. Hated to pay haul bill to get warranty work done. Bad choice! Dealer told me there wasnt a rebuild kit for fancy valve under steering wheel and replacement valve was several hunded dollars. Now after living with oily floorboard for years I get service manual to solve electrical problem and find troubleshooting tip for external steering fluid leak. Says tighten bolts and replace seals etc. Im going to tighten bolts first. If I have to do more I may need some help!

I'm finding your part number as 14524054001 and as dealer stated there does not appear to be a kit for it. That said, most of these units are mainly O-rings and a couple lip type seals where the shaft goes in/out. The link below is for another kit and is just posted for info

MAHINDRA TRACTOR STEERING CONTROL UNIT HSU SEAL KIT - EATON 64552- | eBay

If you have the time, might look to remove the control and measure the shaft seals. Once you know the size, they can usually be found. The rest are simple O rings

This is the exact same steering valve (HSU) assembly.

Seems like my issue for sure. I think dirthauler has the right approach. Service manual shows several special tools including a holding tool SJ150L9001-01. Im not sure that im up to a dissassembly/reassymbly . My leak is a stream when its fluid gets warm. Thought of diverting it away from floor mat and keep adding fluid. I may have grabbed steering wheel to get on board so that makes sense for cause. Good grief!

Leak is from top of psu. Tempted to build half-inch mylar dam around top and attach tubing to backside (OUT OF SIGHT) to drain fluid to some kind of reservoir. At least until I dont need tractor for a few weeks. Oily floorboard leads to slippery shoe and clutch mishap.

It looks pretty intimidating when the service manual says you need all those "special" tools! Well you don't, you're only going to remove the top piece which contains the shaft seals. The biggest PITA is removing the HSU from the tractor (be sure to mark where the hoses connect to the HSU). Next clamp in vise horizontally, draw an alignment mark from top to bottom (three sections), remove bolts. Holding the shaft in, remove the top section, remove the seals (one in bore and one at top). Locate new seals, install. Grease the seals before sliding over shaft. And now you get to put it all back together!
If I get a chance today, I'll take a couple of photos of a dismantled HSU and post them.

Did i mentio that im ab electrical engineer. Vertical marks are to identify where each section should be returned. Right? Locate replacement o,rings means take them to aplace that can match them to new ones. Right?

Ive been looking at assembly diagram in service manual. When you say top to bottom and part is in vice horizontally you mean a horizontal line from top section to bottom section I think. Also you are talking about shaft seals not orings. Theres a dust seal ring on top and a pair of shaft seals on top of the bearings. Are those the only ones i need to replace. My bad about orings. You never specified replacing them.

Hi Masempine. Your issue sounds like the same problem I'm having. Where did you find the drawing? Do you have the parts list? I haven't removed my control unit. It only drips, but it's gotten worse the past couple months. I plan on removing it soon, and then disassemble the control. I was told the same, no parts or repair kit. I figured I will try to find parts and If that fails, I'll by a new unit. I wrote SINJIN of Korea, three times, and no answer back. SINJIN is the company that built my unit. I did find that the TYM Tractors, certain models, use this same unit and TYM was about $100 less than what Mahindra dealers quoted me.
