5030 Seat

I sat in a new M series cab the other day and couldn't help but notice how great the seat felt. I asked the dealer if it would fit in my 5030 and he said it was too big and tall to fit in the cab.

I would like to get the seat to feel like it's "deeper" and less forward leaning. I have turned the adjustment in and out and it's no better.

Any suggestions would be great.

I'm with you!! I almost bought an M series just for that seat! I drove an M7040 cab for about 15 minutes and it was truly amazing how comfortable. I didn't need a tractor that size, didn't want to spend the money, wanted HST, but I really wanted that seat!!! I'd gladly spend a few bucks to put one of those in my 5030 if it was possible.

Maybe I'm confusing it with something else, but isn't there an option for a "deluxe" seat? Aww, maybe that was an option for the last Grasshopper mower I bought, I don't remember. Anyway, I would like a nice seat like I've had on some of the dozers I've owned. They were an air ride seat. They sure seemed to take a lot of the bumps out though.

There is an optional air ride seat for the M series cab models, but no options for the Grand L cab seat. The M7040 I drove did not have the optional air ride, and it was still much better than what is in the 5030. I had back surgery 3 years ago and I struggle at times with the bouncing around. On our current, rocky, rough property, I can't hardly use my BX (my son uses it). The L5030 doesn't beat me up so much, but sure wish I could get that M series seat!

I too struggle with the forward leaning seat. The dealer did a mod on another 5030 for a man who had some med. problems and could not stand for the seat to lean forward like it does. I will ask what they did.
